Annual Report 2024: Meaningful growth in a challenging year
Vebego looks back on a year of dynamism and enterprise. Despite economic headwinds in parts of Europe, in 2024 the family-owned company booked revenue growth of 4% to a record €1.543 billion. Net income rose to €7.6 million, an improvement on 2023 (€4.3 million). These positive results will enable Vebego to do what we stand for: to create work that matters.
People make the difference
Vebego’s growth is based on the trust of clients and the commitment of over 40,000 colleagues, who contribute daily to a clean and pleasant working and living environment. In 2024 we continued to build an organization with eight core businesses, with a shared culture and a strong focus on social impact. This is the basis of the continued growth of our employees as well as the company.
Enterprise and growth
Enterprise also means daring to invest and take risks. Opting for a single brand increased Vebego’s visibility on the market. Revenue growth was driven by operations in Belgium and the Netherlands, with landscaping as an outlier (+34%) and also by price increases, organic growth and the successful integration of acquisitions. In Germany, Vebego had to deal with a declining economy, leading to a drop in revenue.
Performance was stable in Switzerland. However, major new contracts were signed in both countries, including CBRE, Shell and Vat Group. Long-term partnerships were also established with Schiphol Airport and Rabobank.
Ton Goedmakers, CEO: “2024 was the year that we as an organisation showed what we stand for. Despite challenging circumstances, we were able to improve our results and attract some great new clients. I am proud of that. In 2025, we will continue to build a bright future, with a new strategy towards 2030. Our ambition remains unwavering: to create work that matters. We will do so by putting our people first, with a strong bottom line as our foundation."
